Travel Options: Hotel Costs in London

I will try to do a similar analysis in London, but there are an assload of hotels. I am more confident we could find a decently priced hotel there at any time if we try hard enough.

I'm going to use the Grand at Trafalgar Square to compare because, I don't know, I need to pick something.

$230/night

9/3-9/10
$245/night

So, for this one place, prices are pretty steady. From my unscientific scan of hotels.com, prices in London seem less variable than in Reykjavik.

I would also feel more comfortable doing a VRBO in London than in Reykjavik.
