Shits and Giggles

We could fly to Toronto on Porter Air (which I've never heard of) for about $350. We'd leave Thursday or Saturday of Labor Day weekend. Spend the weekend in Toronto. Leave Toronto on Sept. 3, fly to Iceland, return 9/8 or 9/10 for $850. So that's $1,200 each, which is the cost of just flying to London.

Same general dates, $200 round trip to NYC (on Spirit); $850 round trip to Reykjavik.

So, that's cheaper and easier to coordinate. However, it sure seems less cool than England. I've kind of got myself psyched up for the UK. I should let it go. Be prudent.

  1. I've heard nothing but good things about Porter. They fly to Canada solely I believe. We can also use my miles to get us both to Toronto with a connection in Montreal - quick check on united.com. We definitely have more options to use the miles with NYC, but both are options and both are free for both of us.

    1. We can make something work. It's not really what we had in mind, but it saves us money.

  2. I would rather enjoy Iceland and somewhere else that makes logistical sense versus trying to make the UK work. We can certainly go to the UK in November if we want. Thanksgiving with the royal family? Ah but they don't celebrate that holiday.

  3. Now do we do US or Canada - NY or Toronto - DC or Halifax?
