Flight Options Try 7: Leave in September

If we don't want to use your miles, round trip to London drops to $1,064 on Labor Day, Monday September 2, then to $1,019 every week day after that. Same flight, leave Chicago at 4 pm. Arrive London at 5:55 am on September 3.

We're still looking at $250-$300 to fly to Iceland from London. There are cheaper fares, but we'd have to be at another airport by 6:45 am on September 3, which seems impossible.

Realistically we could leave London Gatwick at 1:10 on September 3, arrive Reykjavik at 3:10 pm. It's a 3 hour flight, plus a time change. It's $155 one-way, or $311 round trip, flying back to London Gatwick at 7:45 am, arrive 11:45 am.

One-way back to Glasgow is expensive. $350 9/4-9/8, $330 on 9/9, $250 on 9/10.

We could fly Reykjavik to Manchester for $162 on 9/9.
Paris for $288 on 9/8, $170 on 9/9.

I mean, we could fly lots of places, but those are the two that seemed realistic to take a train back to London. Anywhere else we'd have to fly back to London.
