Lisbon Public Transit

I love public transit in Europe. Not only are the stations clean and well lit, public transit is actually useful.

There are numerous stations where he Metro (think CTA) and suburban rail (think Metra) connect, so you can switch from one to the other. You can also use the same card for both. Crazy! The instructions to get from one to the other make sense. As tourists who spoke no Portuguese, we got around just fine.

All metro lines criss cross, so you can easily transfer from one to the other. Each station has a clock telling you when the train will arrive, and they were always on time, at least what we experienced.

I understand, I'm a huge nerd, but man, I love me some efficient, useful public transit.
