Seville Side Trips

I think we both want to go to Cordova.

Jerez is also on the table. We could in theory see both of those in a day. Here's how.

Leave Seville at 8 AM, arrive Cordova at 8:45 AM. Walk around, have lunch, take a 2 PM train to Jerez, arrive around 5 PM. Drink some port, have dinner (early by Spanish standards) and take the 8:13 or 9:13 train back to Seville, takes a little over an hour to get back. So, depends how comfortable we are getting into Seville after dark.

So, it's doable, it would be a long day, and then the next day we'd have to hop on a 5 hour train to Barcelona. However, doing both side trips in one day would only be one day on our train pass.

We could also do Jerez as a side trip say Sunday, and Cordova as a side trip on Monday while in Seville.

There is a 3:42 train from Cordova to Barcelona (arrives 8:42 PM). We could see Cordova on our way to Barcelona. Or spend the night, then carry on to Barcelona. Unfortunately there appears to only be the one train from Cordova to Barcelona per day.

So, we have options.

If you want to see the beach - Cadiz, Malaga, or Marbella, that might be harder to do. We could probably do Cadiz/Jerez in a day. Cordova doesn't connect to Malaga or Marbella, so we couldn't do that in a day.
