It's been over a year since our amazing Budapest-Vienna-Prague vacation, so we decided to go for another one. It will be hard to duplicate the last trip, but we're more than willing to try. We debated a few locations, starting with Iceland and the UK, but changed our minds and are planning on Spain in October 2013.

Where to go in Spain
Early research leads me to:
Seville with side trip to Jerez
Madrid with side trips to Toledo and Segovia
Grenada
Valencia
Barcelona
We obviously can't do all, but that's a start for me.
I don't have a problem with any of those places, but like you said, that's too many.
I'd have to look into them a little more.
What's in Jerez that you want to see?
There are tons of cool cities, but maybe we need to try to eliminate two places in the same region, so only see one place along Costa Del Sol, or Andalucia, or whatever. So, are Valencia, Seville, and Granada all kind of redundant?
Does the train from Seville to Valencia go thru Grenada?

Not that we need another place to think about, but I've read good things about Zaragoza.
