Flight Option Try 1 - Round Trip to London

Potential flight option, plus some notes. This will probably bore you to read, but I'm trying to figure out all of the logistics so we can put together the best potential itinerary.

Leave Chicago on Tuesday, August 27, 2013 at 4 pm. Arrive London Heathrow at 5:55 AM. Return London to  Chicago Tuesday, September 10, 2013. There is an 8 AM and a Noon flight. Round trip is $1,021 on United. That seems to be the cheapest fair. So, doesn't help to leave a day before, day after, etc.

We can fly WOW Air from London to Reykjavik for $120. One-way. However, that airline leave from London Gatwick, not London Heathrow.

One-way from London to Reykjavik on Iceland Air is $222. That seems pretty standard, no matter the day. Iceland Air flies out of Heathrow.

You can then fly from Reykjavik to Dublin on Iceland Air or SAS for about $300. Although, it's not direct. Which sucks.

London to Dublin or vice versa appears to be pretty cheap. There is a discount air carrier called Ryan Air that flies from Dublin's one main airport into London's lesser airports.

Total cost for something like this is $1,600 each. I'm not so sure this is the best option.
